The recruitment of General Duty Constable post at BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF, Rifleman etc is being carried by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Selection Procedure of SSC GD Constable

The candidates have to fight an exam to get recruited at this central government job. The selection procedure of SSC GD Constable is carried out through three phases. The candidate who successfully fights all the three phases will recruited as the SSC GD Constable post. The three phases of selection are as follows:

Phase I: Written Examination

In the first phase of the recruitment, the candidates have to clear the written exam. This exam will carry the multiple choice questions from different subjects. Also, note that this will be a computer-based exam. So, one should be well versed with the general use of a computer.

Phase II: Physical Standard/ Endurance Test

The candidates who got shortlisted after the written exam will now be facing the physical examination. The complete physical fitness of the candidates will be checked in this phase.

Phase III: Medical Examination/ RME/ DME

After clearing the physical examination, the candidates have to undergo the medical examination. This is the final phase of the examination. The selected candidates will get the joining letter after this phase.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC GD Constable

All those candidates who are applying for the SSC GD Constable exam, are informed that they should strictly fulfill its eligibility criteria. If they fail to do so, their application will be rejected straightforward. The complete SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria is mentioned below:

  • Nationality: The candidates/ aspirants who are applying for SSC GD Constable exam must be a citizen of India.
  • Age limit: The candidate who is applying for the SSC GD Constable exam must be of age between 18 to 23 years as on August 1, 2019.
  • Educational Qualification: The applying candidate must have passed the 10th class from a recognized board/ university.

 

Apart from all these eligibilities, the candidate should also look to fulfill the physical eligibility too which is mentioned on the official website. Also, SSC has given some age relaxation to the reserved categories.

How to Apply for SSC GD Constable Exam

Those candidates who are emerged to be successful in fulfilling the eligibility criteria of the SSC GD Constable Exam can apply for the exam. To apply for the exam, the candidates are advised to follow the below-mentioned steps in the manner prescribed:

  • Open the official website of SSC i.e ssc.nic.in
  • Now, check the recent updates section and click on the link to filling the registration form.
  • Fill the registration form with all the relevant information.
  • After filling all the details, click on "I Agree" which means all the details which you have filled are correct.
  • Now, you have complete the payment. You can complete the payment either by E- challan or SBI Net Banking or any Credit/ Debit Card.
  • After the successful payment, upload the scanned signature and photograph of you is the prescribed format and size.
  • Do check all the information and submit the application form.
  • Don't forget to take the acknowledgment slip for future reference.

Note: The application form fees of SSC GD Constable for General Category is Rs 100 whereas no fee is charged to the female, SC, ST, PH candidates.
