CTET Exam pattern 2019

The CTET (Central Teaching Eligibility Test) is a national level entrance test which is organized for the selection of skilled teachers for primary level and upper primary level.The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organizes this Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) exam in December-and July twice a year.

For candidates who have secured more than 60% in CTET 2019 for any paper, they will receive the CTET eligibility certificate. 

So before getting started preparing to get 60% marks in CTET, read the necessary information about all the important notifications and CTET exams. 

So in this article we are discussing the exam pattern of the CTET exam.

 

Selection process 

 

The CTET exam is a national level examination and national level exam is mainly held in two papers.

  • Paper 1
  • Paper 2

But both papers are organized in one day or in different shifts. 

Paper 1 is the primary stage and Paper I is organized to teach the candidates from class I to 5.

Paper 2 is the initial stage and this paper is organized for candidates desiring to teach class 6 to 8.

If the candidates want to qualify for recruitment at both levels, they may be present for both the papers in the CTET exam.

 

Paper 1 Exam Pattern 

 

The time period of this examination is 150 minutes and the total number of questions is 150. Paper 1 is consist of 5 section. The complete detail of paper 1 is given below in the table

 1  marks is given for every correct answer and no marks  is reduced for wrong answer. 

 

Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2019

The time period of this examination is 150 minutes and the total number of questions is 150.Paper 2 consists of 4 sections. All detail of paper 2 is given below in the table

Candidates have to choose between mathematics and science and social studies.
