1). A joint military exercise between Indian and Japanese Armies named as Dharma Guardian 2018 has been started at Vairengete, Mizoram .

2). Preparatory meeting of the" Shanghai cooperation organization joint exercise on urban earthquakes search and rescue 2019 has been started in New Delhi.

3). Ministry of Railways has introduced unreserved mobile ticketing app 'UTSONMOBILE ' with a view to promote cashless transactions (digital payment).

4). Fourth dialogue of the NITI Aayog development research centre (DRC) of the state council, Peoples Republic of China was held in Mumbai .

5). Dinkar Asthana has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Laos.

6). General  V.K Singh (Retd.), minister of state for external affairs  attended the 18th Indian ocean Rim Association( IORA), Council of Ministers meeting in Durban South Africa.

7) Eight countries will be given exemptions and "weeks longer to wind down" their trade with Iran, once US sanctions against Iran kick in (come into effect ) on November 5 .

8). Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced 12 measures to boost the micro , small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, including a portal that would enable the units to get a loan in just 59 minutes and interest subvention of 2% .

  1. 59 minutes loan portal.
  2. 2% Interest subvention for all GST registered MSMEs.
  3. Companies with a turnover more than Rs 500 Crore, must now compulsorily be brought on the trade receivable e- discounting system (TReDs).
  4. Public sector companies have now been asked to compulsorily procure 25% instead of 20% of their total purchase, from MSMEs.
  5. 25% procurement mandated from MSMEs, 3% must now be reserved for Women entrepreneurs.
  6. Public sector undertakings of the union government must now compulsorily be a part of Gem.                     ( government e- Marketplace).
  7. Technology upgradation : 20 hubs will be formed across the country.
  8. Ease of doing business : clusters will be formed for pharma MSMEs and 70% cost of establishing these clusters will be Borne by the union government.
  9. Return under 8 labour laws and 10 Union regulations must now we filed only once a year.
  10. Establishments to be visited by an Inspector will be decided through a computerized random
  11. Both the air pollution and water pollution laws have been merged as a consent.
  12. Ordinance has been brought under which, for minor violations under the Companies Act ,the entrepreneur will no longer have to approach the courts, but can correct them through simple procedures.
